Contracting is one of the more demanding classes to insure: every job comes with a contract, every contract comes with insurance requirements, and the requirements change from owner to owner. Additional insured endorsements, primary and non-contributory wording, waivers of subrogation — we know what they mean and how to get them.
We write programs for general contractors, artisan trades, roofers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, remodelers and specialty contractors, including new ventures and contractors with prior claims.

Common questions
What does a general contractor typically require from a subcontractor?
General liability with additional insured, primary/non-contributory and waiver of subrogation endorsements; workers compensation with a waiver; and often commercial auto and an umbrella. We read the contract with you and match the policy to it.
Can I get a certificate today?
Once the policy is bound, yes — most certificates are issued the same business day.
Do you write roofers and other high-hazard trades?
Yes. We have specialty and excess & surplus markets for trades that standard carriers decline.
Do I need a bond?
Many Illinois municipalities require a license bond, and public and larger private projects require bid and performance bonds. We place these through A-rated sureties.
